The FaBI board decides on the awarding of the prize. FaBI is a joint specialist group of the six scien\u00adtific societies DECHEMA, GBM, GDCh, GI, GMDS and VAAM and represents more than 1300 bioin\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcians in Germany.<\/p>\n<h3>Prize:<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to prize money of \u20ac1000, the award winner will be able to attend the <a href=\"http:\/\/gcb2026.de\/\">German Confe\u00adrence on Bioin\u00adfor\u00admatics 2026<\/a> in Saarbr\u00fccken free of charge. Confe\u00adrence dinner, reimbur\u00adsement of travel expenses (2nd class train or economy flight ticket) and three nights\u2019 hotel accom\u00admo\u00addation are included in the case of the face-to-face event. The award will be presented during GCB 2025 and includes the oppor\u00adtunity to present the research paper in a lecture.<\/p>\n<h3>Prere\u00adqui\u00adsites:<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The dispu\u00adtation date is in the period 1 March 2026 \u2014 30 May 2026<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The candidate declares his\/her willingness to parti\u00adcipate in the GCB 2026 if he\/she receives the award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>The super\u00advisor of the disser\u00adtation is entitled to submit proposals if he\/she has the right to award docto\u00adrates and leads a working group in German-speaking countries.
