Due to the incre\u00adasing adoption of systemic research approaches in the life sciences and the availa\u00adbility of large-scale high-throughput datasets, bioin\u00adfor\u00admatics has become a central disci\u00adpline of immense importance. n Germany, this trend was recognized early on, and around the year 2000, bioin\u00adfor\u00admatics centers for research and education were deliberately estab\u00adlished. With over 90 profes\u00adsor\u00adships and independent research groups today, Germany demons\u00adtrates a very high level of research and educa\u00adtional compe\u00adtence in bioin\u00adfor\u00admatics. FaBI\u2019s webpage provides an overview of research insti\u00adtu\u00adtions, profes\u00adsor\u00adships and degree programs with bioin\u00adfor\u00admatics content.<\/p>\n
