On September 20, 2017, the general meeting of the Gemeinsame Fachgruppe Bioinformatik (FaBI) has elected a new Advisory Board for the period 2017-2020 during the GCB 2017 in Tübingen. The following members belong to the board:

Prof. Dr. Sven Rahmann (Univ. Duisburg-Essen / TU Dortmund)
Prof. Dr. Matthias Rarey (Univ. Hamburg)
Prof. Dr. Rainer Spang (Univ. Regensburg)

Prof. Dr. Matthias Rarey is the elected speaker of the advisory board; deputy representatives are Prof. Dr. Caroline Friedel and Prof. Dr. Ina Koch.
