There are two PhD positions with competitive salaries (approx. 80% of a full TVL-13 position) available in Prof. Alexandros Stamatakis' (Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies & KIT) new, second research group (https://www.biocomp.gr/) that is currently being set up at the Institute for Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas in Heraklion, Crete.
The group is funded under the auspices of the EU ERA chair program. We are looking for computer scientists, Bioinformaticians or "programming Biologists".
